Application tips
BEFORE FIRST USE
Indigo brushes are handmade, so individual pieces may differ slightly from each other. However, each one undergoes thorough quality control, so you can be sure you are getting a tool that meets all expectations.
Each brush is covered with a special protective coating during transport. Before first use, remove it by gently rubbing the bristles with your fingers until the coating crumbles off completely. Attention! Do this gently, in the direction of the bristles, without pressing at the base, as this may cause permanent damage.
After removing the coating, wipe the brush with a cotton pad soaked in Wipe Off, moving along the direction of the bristles to give them their final shape.
Due to the manual production process, individual hairs sticking out from the brush head are natural. Before first use, gently separate and trim them as close to the base as possible. Damaged hairs can be removed in the same way during use.
CARE TIPS
When picking up product, avoid soaking the brush base. Let it “drink” the product to protect the bristles and improve control.
To clean the brush after work, use a transparent base or top coat. Apply it to a palette or cotton pad and dissolve product residue using circular movements, then wipe with a dry cotton pad in the direction of the bristles.
Always store the brush with the cap on. Even after cleaning, product residue may harden under sunlight or salon lighting.
Avoid using cleaners and alcohol-based products (except in extreme cases), as they may dry out the bristles. Do not use Brush Cleaner – it is intended for acrylic brushes only.
NEVER leave the brush without a cap near a UV lamp. The light may harden product on the bristles.
If product hardens on the brush, dip it in boiling water and wait until it dissolves. Make sure the bristles do not rest on the bottom of the container.
Use separate brushes for light-curing products and for acrylic paints or watercolours.
